Joseph Allen
|
|
 |
|
|
This
week, an encore broadcast of Joseph Allen sharing spiritual aspects
of Book of Mormon geography. Originally broadcast in 2003 as the
first-ever edition of The Cricket and Seagull.
Ever
since the word 'Zarahemla' was first spoken in this dispensation,
members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have
been fascinated by the geography and artifacts connected with
the book of scripture that gives them their nickname —
the Book of Mormon.
In this edition
we'll talk with Dr. Joseph Allen, author, educator, tour leader,
and explorer, about the questions most often asked; Why Central
America instead of North or South? Did Joseph Smith ever call
the hill where he got the plates 'Cumorah'? And what about the
earthquakes and destructions that changed the whole face of the
land? Are there spiritual benefits to understanding Book of Mormon
geography?
That’s this week on The Cricket and Seagull...
