note: Although it is impossible to know exactly how Joseph
and Emma looked at crucial times in their lives, these pictures
of their great-great-great-grandchildren may give you some
ideas. These photographs of Bryan and Leah Davis, who are
dressed to resemble their famous ancestors, were taken by
their mother — who is the great-great-granddaughter of Joseph
and Emma.

Bryan Davis was 18 when he posed for these
portraits as Joseph in 2004. He is presently in the Missionary
Training Center, preparing to serve in the Canada Vancouver
Mission.
Bryan Davis, shown
in these photographs in poses that represent his great-great-great
grandfather, was the first of Joseph's descendants to get
an endowment at the Nauvoo Temple. He recently performed
his first baptism, baptizing his aunt Candy (the great-great-granddaughter
of Joseph and Emma) on the same day he went through the
temple in Nauvoo. On November 16th of this year,
he entered the Missionary Training Center to become the
twelfth descendant of Joseph and Emma to serve as a missionary
for the Church. He will be serving in the Canada Vancouver
Mission, and he departs Provo on December 14.
