Mormon Apologetics Conference Aug. 6-7
The Eleventh Annual Mormon Apologetics Conference will be held at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy Utah, on August 6-7, 2009. Defenders of the faith from around the world will come together to hear new presenters join perennial conference favorites in covering a range of topics from plural marriage to the latest in DNA findings.
(A full schedule, including titles of the presentations, and credentials of the speakers can be found at www.fairlds.org/conf09a.html )
Conference attendees may register at this site for full conference tickets or day attendance. There are student rates, also.
FAIR (Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research) was formed in late 1997 by a group of LDS defenders of the faith who frequented the America Online Mormonism message boards. In defending the Church against detractors there, this small group realized that they had no way of sharing their information with each other, much less the rest of the Church. As a result of this, FAIR was born.
Besides the annual Conference, FAIR maintains a website, and the FAIR wiki.
