Family History Library Offers Free Classes on FamilySearch Indexing
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Family History Library offers classes on how to do indexing. The next series of classes will be taught on Saturday, July 12, 2008. The series classes include “How to Do Indexing,” “Arbitrating FamilySearch Indexing Batches,” and “Indexing Administration.”
FamilySearch Indexing is an exciting and easy to use online program for indexing genealogical records and making them available to the public at no charge. Anyone with a computer and access to the Internet can index records.
The series classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All classes are hands-on and are held in the main floor computer lab of the library. In addition, the “How to Do Indexing” class will be repeated on Fridays, July 18 th and 25 th at 10:00 a.m. To view the class schedules online, go to www.familysearch.org.
The library is located to the west of Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City . Free parking is available in the lot at 119 West North Temple Street (behind the Museum of Church History and Art).
