Auditions Scheduled for Christmas Cast of “Savior of the World”

SALT LAKE CITY — Latter-day Saint actors and singers are invited to audition for the Church-produced musical “Savior of the World,” which will be presented in the Conference Center Theater during the Christmas season.

Performers of all ages are needed for leading and supporting roles. Those auditioning for leading roles should come with a resume, and be prepared for cold readings and to perform up to 16 bars from two contrasting musical theater songs. An accompanist will be provided.

Ensemble roles will be double-cast and offered as part-time, Church-service missionary opportunities from September to January. Families with children at least eight years old are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning for ensemble roles may sing a hymn or a Primary song with their families or in small groups. Non-performing support positions will also be available for service missionaries.
