Meet Author Mariah Proctor

Mariah Proctor is a recent graduate of BYU with a Bachelors in Theater and German. She has studied at the BYU Jerusalem Center, taught English in an elementary school in Chiang Mai, Thailand and done study abroad with emphasis in her German studies in Vienna.  She recently returned from Kenya filming a documentary on the views of American teens on poverty and their cultural awareness and awakenings as they immerse themselves in rural village life. She began writing a regular column for Meridian as a teenager.  She grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and is the tenth of eleven children.
