Pianist/Composer Marvin Goldstein to Present 50th Anniversary Concert June 6 in Provo
Provo, Utah —Pianist/composer Marvin Goldstein and friends will present a gala concert on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at The Covey Center for the Arts in Provo. The concert is in conjunction with the entertainer's 50th anniversary as a professional musician.
Artists scheduled to perform with Goldstein that evening include Kenneth Cope, Kirby Heyborne, Steven Kapp Perry, April Moriarty, Meredith Campbell, Sam Payne, Jonelle Goddard and Jessie Clark Funk. All of these artists have either performed and/or recorded with Goldstein over the past several years.
“At this concert, I want a spirit of thankfulness to reign, as well as a total fun experience of joy,” Goldstein said. “The Covey Center is a wonderful venue for a concert of this nature.”
Goldstein added that he prefers performing in a small theater for groups under 700. He said this type of setting allows for a “relationship with the audience of oneness, in calling for a collective, amazing experience.”
Goldstein has recorded more than 40 CDs including “Count Your Blessings,” “Popcorn Popping,” and most recently, “Friends and Brothers,” with former Utah Jazz player, Thurl Bailey, and country artist, Billy Dean.
