Southern California Orange County Mormon Choir Sells Out for Second Season at Sergerstrom Concert Hall

ORANGE COUNTY, Calf— The Orange County Mormon Choral Organization recently finished its second consecutive sold-out season at 2000-seat Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California, March 21.

Along with attracting a full house, the OCMCO's Easter concert The Lord is my Shepherd brought one of the world's top violinists, Jerzy Kosmala and his daughter Weneta and 10-year-old granddaughter Kasia to perform among 70-piece orchestra, and an adult and child choir of 300. This was a unique opportunity for a three generation Catholic family to perform together.

Jerzy Cosmala explains: "I love what I'm doing. It works both ways. I give something and I get something out of it. This is very special. I wouldn't leave it for anything in the world."

Kasia's mother, Irvine attorney, Weneta Kosmala explains: “I think it is wonderful that the Mormon Church is committed to the pursuit of musical excellence. And I see music as the bridge that crosses any boundaries that may exist between different faiths.”

OCMCO was founded in 2007 by brothers Brett and Brandon Stewart from Fountain Valley, California who earned music graduate degrees. The brother's mission is to provide quality musical training and performance opportunities to musicians of all ages and faiths.

Orange County Register and the Long Beach Press Telegram ran a story on the choir here.
